Fashion Design for Kids

OMC is partnering with Hearts and Crafts to offer fun and creative specialty classes for children 10-16 years old beginning September 21, 2021. Every Tuesday from 6:30-7:30. Children will have an exciting opportunity to bring their fashion dreams into reality. Throughout this course, children will learn how to sketch their creations, measure, cut and even sew their designs as they explore their artistic and fine motor skills. Each child will have an opportunity to participate in our end of year fashion show to display their creations. This is a great way to have fun and make new friends while developing creative abilities.

Cost is $25/60-minute class.

This class is open to children with all abilities and all skill levels. It is an OAP eligible expense.

Jewelry Making for Kids

OMC is partnering with Hearts and Crafts to offer fun and creative specialty classes for children 10-16 years old beginning September 22, 2021. Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm. Children will have fun expressing themselves creatively as they design beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. They will explore problem-solving techniques and develop their fine motor abilities as they learn to manipulate and bring together mixed mediums using a variety of hand tools. This type of creativity supports cognitive development and helps children to gain confidence and make new friends.

Cost is $25/ 60-minute class.

This class is open to children with all abilities and all skill levels. It is an OAP eligible expense.

Hearts and Crafts Drop In Art Classes for 4-10 Year Olds

OMC is partnering with Hearts and Crafts to offer Drop in art classes for 4-10 year-olds three times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 pm beginning September 21, 2021. There will be three to four different art/craft activities set up to choose from during each session. Activities include but are not limited to painting, pastels, paper crafts, stickers, stamps, clay sculpting and other mixed media. Every child will go home with a completed project from each hour-long session.

Cost of the class is $20/hour including supplies.

This class is open to children with all abilities and all skill levels. It is an OAP eligible expense.

Welcome to our new Studio in St. Paul’s Centre!

Come in August 30th from 5:30 until 7:00 help us celebrate officially moving into our spacious new studio in St. Paul’s Centre (62 Peter St. N). We are also scheduling free introductory lessons at the end of August for anyone interested in starting lessons in September.

OMC Earn International Recognition through MYC

We are so pleased to have so many MYC recognized in this year’s composing category through Music for Young Children. Learning to write music is a fun yet integral part to the creative component of our wonderful program and this year the student’s work really paid off. We think all of you deserve a big trophy for your hard work, but the judges at MYC have awarded these students special recognition. Way to go guys!
